This is a rare opportunity for a UK-qualified solicitor to join a dynamic in-house legal team with a focus on international development and infrastructure projects across the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and other emerging markets. This role would suit a mid-level lawyer who’s looking to broaden their scope, apply their skills in a high-impact setting, and be part of a team where your advice helps shape projects that improve lives globally. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on major consultancy and infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on cross-border work Draft, review and negotiate a range of construction, consultancy, and commercial agreements Partner closely with regional commercial, technical, and project delivery teams to manage legal risk Advise on claims, disputes, and insurance issues - including managing external counsel Support regional legal strategy and internal governance processes Engage with a wide range of legal areas, including contract law, construction law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance Contribute to legal templates, policies, and internal guidance materials Collaborate on strategic legal initiatives and provide training to business teams Key Requirements UK-qualified solicitor with 5-8 years’ PQE (open to flexibility depending on experience) Strong grounding in construction or commercial law, ideally with some in-house or consultancy-side experience Comfortable advising across multiple jurisdictions, especially civil law systems Confident communicator with strong drafting and stakeholder management skills Able to work independently and thrive in a multi-disciplinary, international environment Exposure to development bank-funded projects (e.g. World Bank, EBRD, AfDB) is highly desirable What's in it for you?
