Faculty Information
The Faculty of Sport, Technology and Health Science is an internationally recognised centre with established expertise and resources in running foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the areas of sport, health and exercise sciences. The Faculty is committed to offering students vocationally relevant programmes of study with the highest academic standards. It has undergone rapid expansion in recent years, with new facilities and expert staff. All teaching and learning is underpinned by significant research and enterprise work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Contribute to teaching of the Strength and Conditioning provision within the Faculty, including the BSc Strength and Conditioning Science and BSc Sport and Exercise Science programmes.
* Provide academic support and supervision of undergraduate student projects.
* Develop and prepare learning resources/module booklets and online resources.
* Act as a personal tutor to students and uphold the University’s tradition of student‑centred learning.
* Actively participate in programme level initiatives and course developments.
* Contribute to curriculum development, policy formulation and planning for the Faculty.
* Engage positively with research and/or knowledge transfer activities.
* Engage with and strengthen the University Mission and participate in broader academic life.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of School or roles nominated by the Associate Head of School.
