Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of business services and workplace solutions based in Ashton-under-Lyne, is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join their IT department.
As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be based in the office full time.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure day-to-day service availability and maintenance of all IT infrastructure services.
* Manage the deliverables of the IT Infrastructure team.
* Evaluate services, plan, and implement improvements.
* Provide training and development for direct reports.
* Maintain communication rooms and services, ensuring their power supply.
* Oversee security services such as firewalls, penetration testing, and compliance updates.
* Plan and lead team meetings and workshops.
* Participate in and serve as an escalation point for out-of-hours support.
* Ensure infrastructure coverage is always available, including shift and out-of-hours rota.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Professional IT qualifications in IT infrastructure fields with significant experience as an IT Engineer or Administrator.
* Leadership experience or relevant management training/certifications.
* Academic achievement at least to A Level standard; degree level preferred.
* Full UK driving license.
Technical/Management knowledge of:
* Wide Area Network solutions.
* Operating systems (primarily Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022).
* Hardware including servers, SAN, switches, and wireless networks.
* Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, RDS, NPS.
* Dynamics 365 printing services.
