Principal People are proud to be exclusively partnering with a leading national Transport and Logistics organisation in the search for a Head of Health and Safety.\n\nThis is a national leadership role offering a high degree of flexibility and autonomy, with a hybrid working model combining site presence across the UK and home working to support a healthy work-life balance.\n\nAs a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will take full ownership of the Health and Safety strategy and be instrumental in shaping a culture of safety across the business. \n\nYou will lead a team of forward-thinking EHS professionals, fostering continuous development and delivering best-in-class safety practices.\n\nThe role will be working for a FTSE250 Company and you will be reporting into the Managing Director who is incredibly invested into Health and Safety.\n\nThe Role:\n \nLead the development and implementation of the company’s Health and Safety strategy across all national sites. \nProvide expert guidance and hands-on support to site teams on all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
\nManage and develop a high-performing team of Health and Safety Advisors, supporting their growth and encouraging innovation. \nFoster strong relationships with operational teams to embed a proactive and positive safety culture. \nIdentify underperforming sites and work closely with local teams to drive targeted improvement initiatives.

\nReal influence and autonomy in shaping the future of Health and Safety across the business. What We’re Looking For:\n \nNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent \nProven experience in a senior operational Health and Safety role. \nExperience managing and developing Health and Safety teams.
