IT Support Engineer Southend-on-Sea, Essex (Hybrid) £25,000 - £30,000 DOE MSP Environment We're partnered with a progressive Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Southend-on-Sea who are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their growing team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site, providing a mix of 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support as well as field-based support to a diverse client base. What you'll be doing: Delivering 1st & 2nd line technical support via the helpdesk and on client sites Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues Supporting and maintaining client IT systems across a variety of environments Installing and configuring new hardware and software solutions Escalating complex issues to senior engineers where necessary Providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships Technical Requirements: Experience supporting both Windows & MacOS environments Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 administration Strong understanding of Active Directory (user/group management, permissions) Good networking knowledge - including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPNs, routers & switches Some understanding of virtual machines (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware) Previous MSP experience (preferred but not essential) What we're looking for: Previous experience in an IT support/helpdesk role (1st & 2nd line) A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team Full UK driving licence (required for field support) What's on offer: Salary £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience) Hybrid working - balance of remote, office, and field-based support Great training and clear career progression opportunities A dynamic, supportive MSP environment with exposure to a wide range of tech
