Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an Electroplater within the Plating department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.
This Electroplater position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability.
Role Responsibilities will include:
* Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards.
* Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings.
* Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (Masking techniques etc.)
* Previous experience to undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a range of the following electroplating processes:
1. Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plate
2. Nickel plating
3. Hard Chrome plating
4. Alocrom
5. Nital etch (Acid Etch inspection)
