Overview

This is a hands-on, operational finance role working closely with the Estate owners. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information, managing cash flow and management reporting.

You will work with our experienced Bookkeeper and play a key role in improving systems, controls and efficiencies.

We are currently operating with Telus Farm Accounting (formerly Farmplan Business Manager).

Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate financial records and manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Work closely with Estate Manager to improve financial reporting and processes, and in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
* Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies effectively.
* Production of accurate monthly management accounts for key enterprises
* Monthly financial reporting and finance meetings with Estate Manager
* Cash flow management
* Monitor budgets and track expenses for key enterprises
* Liaison with external accountants for preparation of annual accounts
* Review and improvement of financial systems, controls and reporting
* Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

Requirements

* Proven experience in financial management, including leadership roles within a similar organisation.
* Strong background in financial accounting and services, with a comprehensive understanding of organisational finance functions.
* Strong, hands-on experience producing monthly management accounts, managing budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
* Skilled in cost control techniques to enhance organisational profitability.
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Highly organised, accurate and deadline-focused.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
