This new and exciting role has been created to drive our Public Interest (PI) audit team to transform our approach to winning new business and driving profitable growth in the large listed market, and large equivalent privately held companies including major-PE backed groups.
You will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go to Market team, as well as the national Markets and Clients community. This is a great opportunity to help our partners and directors meet their growth targets by ensuring rigour and momentum in their business and client development activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Transform our approach to winning new business, focusing on a proactive, structured, and rigorous approach aligned with the Firm’s Sales and Marketing Cycle.
* Innovate our Business Development approach with fresh insights from your experience to drive the right mindset.
* Define, oversee, and develop a pipeline of pursuits and tenders to support PI business growth, including key account management and tiering strategies.
* Champion the use of the new CRM system (Dynamics) across the PI Audit practice.
* Manage relationships with priority PI targets, working with Pursuits team to develop strategies and qualify targets.
* Monitor and report on KPIs related to the sales pipeline.
* Support audit leaders and PI partners in identifying new markets and key targets, driving BD efforts.
* Hold PI partners accountable for their actions and development targets.
* Collaborate with marketing to inform go-to-market plans and leverage marketing efforts.
* Develop propositions for the PI market through collaboration with other practices and provide insights into relevant business hooks.
* Coordinate with other BD teams as needed.
* Build a sales culture within PI through communication and community engagement.
* Identify training needs in BD/sales/account management and organize coaching sessions.
* Assist in strategic client and target discussions with senior stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum criteria:
* Experience in professional services, ideally Big 4.
* Background in BD and account management within FTSE 350 companies.
* Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level.
* Knowledge of Audit is beneficial but not essential.
The role is flexible on location but has a national scope, so travel may be required.
Desired skills include understanding of lead generation, strong communication, initiative, CRM experience, project management, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
