Join to apply for the MIS and Assessment Manager role at TES FE News. The Downs School is seeking a committed and detail-focused MIS and Assessment Manager to join our dedicated team. Working in a thriving secondary school of over 1,400 pupils, you will play a key role in providing strategic and operational leadership for the school’s Management Information System (MIS) and assessment data processes, ensuring all data supports the school’s drive for high standards, evidence-informed decision making, and compliance with statutory requirements.
Contract type: Full Time (Term time only) plus 10 days in holidays (to include GCSE/A Level results weeks), plus 2 inset days in September.
Responsibilities
* Be organised, flexible and reliable, with the ability to work with students in a professional and appropriate way
* Manage the school’s MIS platform (Arbor), ensuring system integrity, security, access control, and regular updates
* Work closely with the Deputy Head (Curriculum & Achievement) and Assistant Heads (for KS3, KS4 and KS5) to provide high-quality, timely data for leadership, faculty and governors to inform strategic decisions
* Line manage the Attendance Administrator, providing regular guidance and support to ensure student attendance data is recorded accurately and used effectively across the school
* Be well-motivated and keen to show their enthusiasm for the role
* Have a professional attitude that is open to innovative ways of working
* Be flexible and adaptable when faced with challenges
