What your role is
Leadership and accountability for coordination and execution of market supply planning strategy including service, inventory and DDF (waste) ownership for all GM brands in Europe (UK, IR, FR, IB). Manage a supply planning team of 9 members (3 direct reports) including all key people management associated tasks. Own and drive continuous improvement plan within supply planning capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Europe (UK/IR/FR/IB) market supply planning operations and capabilities
* Manages supply planning team of senior planners and planners including coaching, development and succession planning.
* Collaborates closely with Clusters, Plants, ESC and initiatives planning to define Market Supply Planning strategy and support execution accordingly.
* Own product availability management, inventory strategy definition and stock optimization
* Owns supply chain interface between cluster supply chain and upstream (plants/ESC) supply planning. Represent supply planning in supply chain team within CBU/clusters
* Owns cross functional collaboration (eg plants, clusters, ESC, OBMs etc), troubleshooting, proactive communication and serves as escalation for supply planning in Europe
* Owns and drive continuous improvement plan within market supply planning discipline
* Owns delivery of service (CFR), DDF (waste) and inventory in line with respective targets.
What you will bring to the team
* Minimum 7 years experience with at least 2 years in Supply Planning
* People Management Experience (min 2 years)
* Strong understanding of end to end supply chain operational processes, ideally obtained by working in other supply chain disciplines (eg demand planning, logistics etc)
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Proactive thinking
* Fluent in English. French language is considered a plus
