Description Manage the existing portfolio (renewals, endorsements, risk and client visits, client meetings, claims involvement). Contribute positively to the overall results of SCOR SBS by demonstrably sound technical and profitable underwriting Develop SCOR’s market share and leadership position Enhance SCOR’s image in the market by efficient and innovative support of client needs Negotiate bespoke service line specific wordings Represent SCOR at international events, both general industry conferences and client hosted annual conferences Responsibilities Some of the key areas of responsibility are as follows : Receive, select and evaluate offers of business from various sources, calculate ratings and negotiate the bespoke wordings of the contracts Generate and originate new offers and promote SCOR by pro-active marketing in accordance with the strategy and guidelines defined in the SCOR Roadmap and relevant guidelines Maintain and develop relationships with clients and brokers; travel as and when required to do so Attend broker and client hosted events Respond to all enquiries in a timely manner Assist the Global Line Head in the research, development and report on new areas of potential profitable growth Maintain accurate records of quotes, risks accepted and declinatures Control and verify premium income according to business plan Assist the Global Line Head to produce reports of various formats for reporting purposes as required Contribute to the claims settlement process in conjunction with the claims department Contribute to the division’s technical knowledge of sectors and sub-sectors in which the jobholder is working Motivate, encourage and contribute to the training of the team Attend SCOR’s Lloyd’s box to service brokers submissions and endorsements, and negotiate policy terms Ensure compliance with all relevant international licensing requirements for SCOR’s various offices Qualifications We are ideally looking for people with the following experience and competencies: Experience Established cyber underwriter with several years of direct underwriting experience in the London market or elsewhere Proven underwriting skills including wording negotiation Established market relationships Experience of writing international business Established client relationships Competencies Sound technical knowledge of subjects associated to underwriting as well as a wider understanding of related legal, risk management, social and economic topics Knowledge of competitors, cedants, reinsurers and brokers within the London market and internationally Commercial and tactical vision Ability to successfully negotiate “face-to-face” with brokers Educational Qualifications Educated to A Level, or equivalent qualifications Relevant university degree, or equivalent ACII Qualified
