Following new funding, we are expanding our team to further strengthen the support and continuity of care we provide to patients and their families. We’re now inviting a dedicated Consultant to join ourSpecialist Palliative Care Team, serving acrossHull Royal Infirmary,Castle Hill Hospital, and thewider community.

Our department is built on compassion, respect, and teamwork - values reflected in our remarkablylow staff turnover, with colleagues who have individually served forover 14 and 17 years. This continuity speaks to the strong sense of belonging and purpose our team shares.

You’ll be part of amultidisciplinary servicecomprising Consultants in Palliative Medicine, Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists (Bands 6–7), and a dedicated administrator, supported by colleagues in chaplaincy, social work, psychology, pharmacy, pain management, and therapies. In 2024 alone, the service received2,376 referrals, highlighting both the scale and trust placed in our team.

* Broaden your experiencethrough rotation across hospital, community and hospice settings, or
* Deepen your expertiseby focusing on a particular area of care - whether that’s working in acute, community, or specialist services such as homelessness, prisons, or specific disease pathways.

* Delivering high-quality, person-centredspecialist palliative carein the community and/or hospital settings.

About You
