About your team
The Brokerage Product Team plays a key role in delivering the Stockbroking strategy to our customers who invest with us directly or via an adviser. The team is responsible for maintaining and developing a market leading, competitive, compliant and efficient proposition for the UK business. We support the overall growth of the stockbroking proposition, working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the customer and regulatory requirements and needs are met.
About your role
Reporting to the Brokerage Product Manager - Global Platform Solutions (GPS), you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all Brokerage related initiatives. You will be expected to be support the overall maintenance and growth of the stockbroking proposition, including the provision of dashboards, competitive analysis as well as working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the brokerage product requirements and needs are met for all customers. This will support our vision of becoming the partner of choice for all an individual’s and family’s lifetime financial needs, offering access to world class online investment and retirement solutions for those who start saving with their employer, who come to us direct or through their adviser.
About you
Essential skills:
* Stockbroking experience is preferred
* Strong understanding of the stockbroking competitive landscape and ability to drive regulatory change.
* Demonstrable market and competitor knowledge and understanding
* An understanding of the commercial drivers for platform business and/or individual product lines
* Attention to detail and be able to work effectively under periods of pressure
* Client centric in all aspects of product development
* A natural self-starter with the appetite for the work, intensity and challenges presented by Fidelity’s UK growth and the developing business
* A team player, who is willing to set an example and help colleagues get the job done working as a team
* The ability to liaise with internal customers in a proactive and challenging manner
* A core understanding of the technology and operational elements required to deliver change
* Excellent at being innovative but also collaborative in approach
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good time management skills. Can prioritise own work and others to meet tight deadlines
* Good communication skills, including influencing and negotiating skills with the the ability to adopt a commercially driven but versatile and culturally sensitive approach to be able to impact across all levels and functional, national and cultural boundaries.
Desirable skills:
* Strong knowledge of investment funds and related products
* Retail Platform experience; D2C and/or advised/IFA.
* Experience of agile methodology, general programme management, and delivery leadership.
* Experience in equity compensation and brokerage.
* An ability to develop financial plans, interpret financial data and manage resources. Can demonstrate a flexibility of thinking and an ability to analyse and distil complex information quickly.
* Strong leadership experience, with proven ability to lead multi-cultural teams and a track record of developing talent and diverse teams in a matrix structure.
* Able to balance strategic vision, commerciality and pragmatic execution.
