About the role
As a Lead Nail Technician / Shift Leader, you'll be carrying out nail services while also taking on light supervisory duties. You'll support the day-to-day operation of the salon, help keep standards high, and assist with the smooth running of appointments.
You'll also work closely with the salon owner/manager to keep the team organised and the client experience consistent.
£14 per hour self-employed.
Responsibilities
You will:
* Provide high-quality treatments including BIAB / builder gel, gel manicures, removals, and basic nail art
* Maintain excellent hygiene standards and keep your workstation clean and professional
* Support the team on shift: help keep appointments on time and the floor running smoothly
* Assist with opening/closing tasks when required
* Help maintain salon organisation, including supporting stock checks and restocking
* Support onboarding of new team members and help them settle into salon standards
* Handle client concerns calmly and professionally, aiming for a great experience every time
* Encourage rebooking and recommend aftercare / suitable products where appropriate
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Nails (required)
* Previous experience as a Senior Nail Technician / Shift Leader / Supervisor.
* Confident with BIAB / builder gel and gel services
* Strong attention to detail and clean preparation work
* Great communication and customer service
* Reliable, punctual and team-focused
* Must have the right to work in the UK
