Due to the short term nature of this role we are only able to consider candidates able to start from 1st August.

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Risk Analyst to support QBE’s Risk Culture program and BAU Risk activities.

In this role you will support stakeholders through risk and control assessments, issue management, and risk reporting across the division. The IT Risk Analyst will also work to improve risk practices, coordinate policy reviews, and enhance reporting through better data visualisation and automation.

Your New Role:

* Guide IT stakeholders to ensure consistent adherence to the Issue and Incident Management process.
* Support IT stakeholders in conducting IT Risk and Control Assessments, offering practical advice and oversight.
* Assist IT Risk Manager in embedding sound IT risk practices across the divisions.
* Prepare, validate, and analyse IT risk and control indicators to support accurate and insightful risk reporting.
* Coordinate regular reviews and updates of IT policies, standards, and guidelines to maintain compliance and relevance.
* Enhance the quality and reliability of IT risk reporting by implementing data validation checks and leveraging automation opportunities—such as Power BI—to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

About you:

* Significant prior experience in Technology Risk, Technology Audit, Compliance, or related field
* Recent experience in a similar role of IT risk management and/or information systems auditing
* Experience of providing assurance on risk and controls across multiple technology and cyber operational area
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
* Experience in data analysis and reporting skills using tools and techniques like MS Excel, MS Access, Power BI
* Report writing and using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
