Senior Bioinformatics Engineer

The position will be working within a group responsible for developing and maintaining the bioinformatics pipelines. The role will suit someone whose interests lie more in pipeline development and maintenance over data analysis.
You will see the product development process, work with quality, regulatory and software teams to develop cancer diagnostics products for the company. This is not a junior role; previous industry experience in a similar role will be required.
Responsibilities
* Develop novel algorithms and pipelines
* Support the development of novel cancer diagnostics products
* Work at the intersection of bioinformatics and software development
* Contribute to quality management of bioinformatics processes and regulatory standards
* Mentorship / Line management of more junior team members
Experience / Qualifications
* PhD in Bioinformatics or other related field - May also consider an MSc plus post doc/industry experience
* Experience implementing and maintaining NGS data analysis pipelines
* Proficient programmer in both Python and R
* Familiar with cloud environments, ideally AWS
* Must have experience working with relational databases
* Linux experience required
* Experience working with Docker
* Previous experience working in the Oncology field is desired but not essential
