The Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity. As part of our frontline team, you will assist with daily living activities, support the wellbeing and comfort of residents, and provide emotional support and companionship. You will advocate for the rights and preferences of residents and help ensure they feel valued and supported.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
* Encourage independence where possible and involvement in activities.
* Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting changes in health or behaviour.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Requirements
Required Criteria
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A good standard of oral and written English
* A non-judgemental approach to others
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion to deliver high-quality care
* Respectful to residents and to the values and beliefs of other team members
Desired Criteria
* Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, though not essential as full training will be provided
