Overview
Retail Optical Assistant at Vision Express helps customers find eyewear that fits their needs, assists with frame adjustments, repairs, fittings, and may perform some pre-screening eye examinations and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, handling phone inquiries, and processing payments. The goal is to provide excellent customer service so customers leave happy with eyewear that fits properly and meets their vision needs. Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service with the ability to offer personalized assistance and address customer needs and concerns
* Build rapport and communicate in clear, understandable language for customers
* Maintain accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements to support service and product recommendations
* Work as part of a store team
* Handle pressure and manage challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment
* Demonstrate confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm
* Know and explain optical products and services (frames, lenses, contact lenses) and promote them to help achieve store targets
* Arrange and maintain an organized, visually appealing store environment in line with marketing guidance
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills with ability to tailor support to individual customers
* Strong communication and rapport-building abilities
* Excellent attention to detail for accurate records and recommendations
* Ability to work well in a team
* Resilience in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of optical products and services and the ability to communicate them effectively to customers
