Recruit4Staff are proud to represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for an Estimator to work out of their London or Swindon Offices For the successful Estimator our client is offering: Competitive Day Rate Days role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours Start date of 2 June 2025 Contract role until 25 July 2025 with a potential for extension Office-based 5 days per week The Role - Estimator: Preparation of detailed and accurate pricing for tenders Supporting Clients with pricing support for Early contractor involvement projects Work in coordination with the Bid Manager to ensure competitive pricing Advise Bid Manager on sufficiency of Client bill of quantity/ activity schedule and arrange for full quantity take off or checking as required Provide advice to the Bid Manager/ Design manager on the most competitive design options Ensure company governance procedures are followed at all times Provide price alternative design solutions What our client is looking for in a Estimator: Previous experience in a similar role with a civil estimating background - ESSENTIAL Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction - DESIRABLE Previous experience of working with Tier 1 contractors - ESSENTIAL Background experience of working with highways - ESSENTIAL Detailed knowledge of estimating software packages Must be an effective communicator with experience presenting to clients Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation with commercial awareness of different forms of contract Key skills or similar Job titles: Civils Estimator, Estimator, Senior Estimator, Estimating Engineer, Preconstruction Estimator Commutable From: London, Paddington, Camden, Acton, Hackney, West Ham, Tottenham, Luton, Brighton, Reading, Oxford, Swindon For further information about this and other positions please apply now This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Recruit4staff (Wrexham) Limited who are operating as a recruitment agency, agent, agencies, employment agency or employment business.
