We’re looking for an experienced GP Trainer to join our team at Quarry Bank Medical Centre.
Primary care is evolving, and we believe practices should evolve with it — thoughtfully, professionally, and with a clear focus on patient care and education.
At Quarry Bank Medical Centre in Dudley, we are currently expanding both our physical premises and our clinical capability. Over the coming months we will be refurbishing and extending the surgery to create additional consulting space and improve the overall working environment for our team.
Alongside this, we are actively investing in modern digital systems and intelligent automation, deploying AI‑supported workflow tools that reduce administrative burden, streamline pathology and document management, and improve how patients interact with the practice . The aim is simple: allow clinicians to spend more time practising medicine and less time navigating unnecessary process.
Education is central to our identity as a practice. We host GP Specialty Trainees and Foundation Year doctors, and we take supervision seriously. We are therefore looking to appoint an accredited GP Trainer with recent experience supervising trainees (minimum 2–3 years) who enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of GPs.
This role is for a clinician who wants to contribute to a practice that is professionally grounded but forward‑thinking.
We are particularly interested in GPs who bring clinical skills that strengthen care within primary care, such as:
* Minor Surgery Accreditation
* Dermatology with Dermoscopy Training
* Diabetes Specialist GP Qualification
* Substance Misuse Management Certification (RCGP)
* Ultrasound in Primary Care Certification
* Women’s Health Advanced Training
* Advanced ECG Interpretation / Community Cardiology
* Spirometry and Respiratory Diagnostics Accreditation
* Frailty and Care Home Medicine Qualification
* Travel Medicine and Yellow Fever Vaccination Accreditation
* Sexual Health and STI Management Certification
* Community Heart Failure Management Qualification
* Pain Management Injection Therapy Certification
* Cognitive Assessment and Dementia Diagnosis Training
These skills allow more care to be delivered locally, improve patient access, and reduce unnecessary hospital referrals — something we believe is increasingly important for the future of general practice.
Role summary
* Minimum 2–3 years recent experience supervising trainees
* Up to 8 sessions per week
* Salary negotiable depending on experience
We offer a stable, collaborative working environment with strong administrative support and a leadership team committed to developing the practice in a sustainable way.
If you are a GP Trainer looking for a practice that values education, professional standards, and thoughtful innovation, I would welcome an informal conversation.
