We are recruiting a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care team. These roles are pivotal in supporting the delivery of Pharmacotherapy services across GP practices in Fife. You will work flexibly across multiple sites to ensure workflow continuity, adapting quickly to changing priorities and service needs.
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will:
• Deliver Level 1 pharmacotherapy tasks, including medicines reconciliation, prescription processing, and medication queries.
• Provide training and mentoring to Pharmacy Technicians, PRTP students, and Medicines Management Support Workers, offering structured support and guidance.
• Contribute to service development through audits, SOP improvements, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, clinicians, and practice teams to optimise patient care.
You will need excellent organisational skills, strong clinical knowledge relevant to primary care, and demonstrable experience in developing others through mentoring and supervision. A flexible approach and willingness to travel across Fife are essential.
Essential Criteria:
• GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Post-registration experience working in Primary Care pharmacy.
• Evidence of training and mentoring staff in a pharmacy setting.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and adapt to service needs.
