Emergency Operations Centre Manager - East
Base: Medway EOC
Type of contract: 6 month secondment
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Band 7 - £47,810 - £54,710 per annum NHS Agenda For Change
Responsibilities
* Overall accountability and responsibility for the daily operations within the EOC, ensuring all points as per the job description are adhered to and implemented in conjunction with SECAmb policies, procedures and protocols.
* Make un-supervised decisions and demonstrate risk evaluation in an operations centre environment.
* Proven track record of operating a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
* Lead and manage staff operating within an Operations Centre environment in a high pressure setting.
* Manage clinical priority considerations to meet multiple patients’ needs and ensure delivery of performance targets while safeguarding staff welfare.
* Demonstrate good keyboard and computer skills and excellent communication and listening abilities.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads using a methodical and systematic approach.
Qualifications
* Degree-level management qualification or equivalent professional experience with proven management experience in a high-pressure environment.
* Understanding of Control Room management principles through a recognised education programme or experiential learning.
* Experience of working with a CAD system and managing staff in an Operations Centre environment.
* Ability to prioritise and lead a team to achieve targets while considering staff welfare.

Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
