About The Role
The Business Development Admin Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the administrative function within the Business Development department. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the role ensures accurate, timely and compliant delivery of operational processes that support business growth.
The postholder oversees key administrative activities including CRM management, reporting cycles, learner onboarding processes and tender documentation, while line managing the Business Admin Apprentice. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency within the department, ensuring that administrative support aligns with wider organisational objectives and company values.
What does the role involve?
Upkeep of existing operating areas in line with data publications
Processing of new learner requests from Sales and Recruitment team
Responsible for all monthly reporting tasks
General housekeeping of Capsule our CRM system
Sourcing Tender Opportunities and managing the process of application
Creating Board, Ops and Governance Power Point pre-reads
Line Managing Business Admin Apprentice
Minute taking in Business Development Meetings where required
Maintain and host our "Apprenticeships in plain English podcast
Looking out for new relevant software to make the department more efficient
Ad-hoc duties to be completed in line with business needs
What are we looking for?
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
Evidence of continued professional development relevant to business administration, operations or leadership
Experience working within an administrative or business support function
Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Capsule, Salesforce or similar)
Experience producing reports and working with data, including Excel
Experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues (if they are line managing)
Strong attention to detail and high levels of data accuracy
Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
Professional discretion and confidentiality
Ability to lead, motivate and influence others
Proactive approach to improving systems and processes
