Fire & Security Engineer – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Mitie is looking for an experienced engineer to join our Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. The role involves ensuring effective delivery of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls, and additional Small Works while maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner.
* Execute fault-finding techniques and service test and inspection activities in accordance with industry standards and codes.
* Attend and participate in company-initiated training to keep up-to-date with technical aspects of the role.
* Follow health and safety legislation, carrying out risk assessments, accident reporting, and RAMS where applicable.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar Fire & Security Systems role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works.
* Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Capacity to work to high levels of health and safety requirements.
* Experience with fault-finding techniques and relevant standards/codes.
