Integration Engineer
£60.33 per hour (Inside IR35)

On site Christchurch - BH23
The candidate must hold a minimum of SC clearance without caveats and be prepared to be processed for DV clearance. Ideally already holding DV clearance.
BAE Systems are currently recruiting for an Integration Engineer, based at our Christchurch site, to support various MoD projects.
This long-term appointment is a complement to the existing 45 strong team that provides support to a fully integrated command and control system for the MoD. This exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support – it is run solely from our Christchurch site for delivery to our customer at various MoD locations.
To fulfil this practical and ‘hands on’ role, it would be beneficial for the candidate to be qualified to diploma or degree level in an engineering discipline.
The role will involve the production of technical artefacts and the implementation of virtual and physical core components, which form the backbone of platforms.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
* Building and configuring Windows Server 2025 and Windows 11 operating systems.
* Integration and configuration of COTS and bespoke software.
* Adherence to software engineering practices.
* Fault finding and resolution of issues in a production environment to a successful conclusion.
* Producing clear and concise technical documentation.
* Collaboration with other members of the team: sharing knowledge and peer reviewing others work.
* Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership.
Occasional travel to customer sites to support deployment, investigations and testing.
Knowledge:
Essential:
* Knowledge of Windows Deployment Tools
* Knowledge of Windows Server 2025 and Windows 11 operating systems.
* Knowledge of Modern Development Practices including Testing.
* Knowledge and experience of Group Policy and Active Directory.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Skills:
Essential:
* Technical documentation production.
* Should be an experienced engineer capable of mentoring junior engineers
* Use of PowerShell to install and configure COTS and bespoke software.
Desirable:
* Automated testing
* SharePoint administration
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working on O/S, COTS and bespoke software integration.
* Windows image creation and deployment.
