This role will be part of our Saab Seaeye Business Unit in Fareham. You will be responsible for the assembly and integration of remotely operated vehicles and their supporting equipment in line with the configuration document, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and in accordance with delivery schedules while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Integrate all assemblies and sub-assemblies to produce complete systems as per customer specifications and company documentation.
2. Conduct all testing required, proving system functionality, including auxiliaries as per customer requirements.
3. Provide offsite/offshore commissioning and customer support as required.
4. Fault find and repair equipment as needed, reporting faults and issues appropriately.
5. Raise change requests and provide feedback to improve product quality and efficiency.
6. Interpret designs, engineering information, and electrical drawings to assemble and test working assemblies and prototypes.
7. Use relevant IT and other systems necessary for the role.
8. Develop effective solutions to challenges using personal judgment and initiative.
9. Comply with 6S best practices and health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
10. Act ethically, with integrity, and in the best interest of the business.
11. Maintain professional relationships with other departments to meet business and delivery objectives.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or authorized personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification, preferably in Electronics.
* Good knowledge of fibre optic termination, equipment, and testing.
