We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children aged 4 to 11 and wants to contribute to a safe, fun, and engaging after-school environment. You will assist the After School Club Lead in organising activities and ensuring the wellbeing of all children attending the club.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the After School Club Lead in the smooth running of the club
2. Plan and organise a variety of enjoyable and educational activities for children aged 4-11
3. Prepare and serve healthy snacks, promoting good nutrition
4. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety and safeguarding policies at all times
5. Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and safe
Qualifications and Experience
6. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable
7. Basic food hygiene knowledge or willingness to undertake training
8. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
9. Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike
