A primary school in Enfield (EN2) is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant – Reception (ASD Support) to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with an EHCP. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone experienced in EYFS who is motivated to help children with autism thrive in their first years of school.
About the Role
You will be supporting a Reception pupil with autism, who also has speech and language difficulties. She is a happy, playful child who requires consistent support with communication, learning, and possibly (to be confirmed) aspects of personal care. As an SEN Teaching Assistant – Reception (ASD Support), you will help her build confidence, develop social interaction skills, and engage positively in the EYFS environment.
This role requires someone who is:
* Experienced in EYFS settings, with strong knowledge of early years routines
* Confident supporting autism and speech and language difficulties
* Patient, nurturing, and proactive in engaging young learners through play-based approaches
* Flexible and willing to assist with personal care if required
