JobDescription : Support Worker/ Day Support Worker – Papworth Trust is seeking a Support Worker/Day Support Worker to join the Cambridge team at our day centre in a part-time, permanent role.

Role Details
As a Support Worker/Day Support Worker, you will play a key role in empowering our customers to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Working hours for this role are 30 hours per week, 9am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
* Support customers to build independence, make choices, and form meaningful relationships.
* Enable customers with complex needs to take part in activities, either in groups or one-to-one.
* Provide personal care and mobility support in line with individual Care and Support plans.
* Use effective communication to promote inclusion, engagement, and understanding.
Qualifications and Experience
* Be a confident team member, supporting adults with profound learning disabilities and complex needs.
* Adapt support and activities to enable participation, using communication tools such as Makaton, picture exchange, and social stories.
* Experience in a Day Centre or similar setting, supporting adults one-to-one or in groups, is desirable.
* IT literacy is required, and training will be provided for medication administration.
* Transferable skills from dementia or older adult care are welcome.
