An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer to join the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) for southern Wales. ROCUs form a critical part of the national policing framework, providing a range of specialist policing capabilities to forces which help them to tackle serious and organised crime effectively. The Clerical Officer will manage a small team of Administrative Assistants who provide support to officers and staff across the ROCU. The role will require the applicant to supervise and carry out general administrative duties which may include: co-ordination of office diaries minute taking formatting documents ordering mail collection and distribution filing and storage of information providing information to stakeholders (internally and externally) over the phone, face-to-face, or by email, based on existing departmental procedures. The succesful candidate will have previous supervisory and administrative experience, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment. You should be highly competent in all Microsoft Office Applications and be able to retrieve and update considerable records / data with both manuak and national systems. We are looking for a team-player who is a good communicator, has a keen eye for accuracy and detail, who can work well with others but also work alone on projects.
