Job Introduction
As a Bank Receptionist, you will provide administrative and hygiene-specific support at The Ironstone Centre, Scunthorpe, as well as delivering excellent customer service to our service users attending Dermatology appointments.
Our service offers Dermatology and Skin Cancer care to users within the Oldham area. We are a secondary care provider offering a comprehensive range of dermatology-related services.
You will collaborate with our friendly clinical and managerial teams to ensure optimal appointment capacity utilization and monitor appointment timeliness. You will also perform clerical duties to support efficient administrative operations.
The role is based at our clinic in Scunthorpe, operating Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm.
Main Responsibilities
* Meet and greet patients for all dermatology appointments
* Manage outcome appointments, including typing and sending clinical letters to GP practices and local trusts
* Prepare and clear clinical rooms and reception areas, including locking equipment and managing patient information
* Prepare daily administration tasks
* Upload clinic documentation, including medical photography, paperwork, and post
* Gather and upload patient feedback online
* Manage cancellation reports from confirmation texts
* Follow procedures for patients who do not attend appointments

The Ideal Candidate
* Can organize and prioritize workload effectively
* Communicates effectively with individuals and groups at all levels
* Possesses strong administrative and IT skills
* Has good interpersonal and customer service skills
* Can handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
* Prior experience with EMIS (clinical database)
* Experience working in a healthcare environment
* Works well independently
