Part time and Full Time Support Worker
Location: Family home
Hours: Part time and full time available. 4 Week rolling rota.
• Weekday: £14.00 per hour
• Weekend: £16.50 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £21.00 per hour
• Sleep-in (Weekday/Weekend): £114.40 per shift
About the Role
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference in someone’s life? We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and caring Support Worker to join a dedicated care team providing 2:1 support for a friendly and enthusiastic man with complex care needs, a brain injury, and a history of sepsis.
You will play a vital role in supporting him to live life to the fullest – assisting with daily living, personal care, therapies, and social activities, while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
About the Client
The person you will support:
• Lives at home with family in a comfortable, purpose-built property
• Enjoys music, chatting, and Watching football
• Has a great sense of humour and enjoys engaging with others
• Requires compassionate, attentive support to manage complex care and post-sepsis needs
• Needs help with:
- Personal care and hygiene
- Nutrition and maintaining a balanced diet
- Medication administration
- Promoting personal safety and wellbeing
- Recording detailed daily notes on care and health input
Health and Wellbeing Awareness
The client’s health can fluctuate due to the nature of his complex needs and medical history, including his recovery from sepsis. Support Workers are expected to be observant and responsive, recognising any changes in his presentation, mood, or physical wellbeing. It is essential that care and support are adjusted appropriately in response to these changes, while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety are maintained at all times. Any variations in health or behaviour should be promptly reported and documented in line with the care plan and guidance from the relevant health care professional.
What We’re Looking For
• A bubbly, positive personality with a “can do” attitude
• Someone reliable, compassionate, and proactive
• Ability to work well within a small, supportive team
• Full clean driving licence (required for insurance purposes)
• Experience with complex needs, brain injury, or sepsis recovery is desirable – but full training and support will be provided
• Knowledge or experience of behaviours that may challenge is an advantage
