Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Peterborough, Cambridgeshire)
Base pay range: £15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Shift availability:
* Day shifts – 09:00 to 17:00
* Night shifts – 22:00 to 08:00
Role overview: Provide compassionate 1:1 care for a teenage client in her home, supporting daily routines, community access, emotional reassurance, and independence.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver compassionate one‑to‑one care at the client’s home.
* Support community access and social activities.
* Promote independence and dignity in all tasks.
* Provide emotional reassurance and wellbeing support.
* Communicate effectively with the clinical, care, and coordination teams.
Clinical tasks (as per care plan):
* Oral suctioning
* Cough assist
* Ventilation assistance
* Moving and handling
Qualifications & requirements:
* Experience supporting people with complex needs.
* Confidence with clinical tasks or willingness to train.
* Strong communication and reliability.
* Empathy, emotional intelligence, and person‑centred values.
* Ability to work independently and professionally.
