The successful candidate will work with our whole team to deliver the highest quality primary care services. More specifically, the Salaried GP will be responsible for assessing patients, working with our multidisciplinary team undertaking the clinical duties and responsibilities associated with working as a General Practitioner in line with GMC and RCGP standards.
Evidence required of GMC registration with License to practice. Registration on the NHS Performers List.
Experience in using EMIS and Docman ideal. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexible and good team working skills. Organised, clinically effective and efficient. Passionate about Primary Care.
Purpose built premises with car park on site.

Maintasks of job:
ClinicalResponsibilities
1)Inaccordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will makehim/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home,checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork,referrals and correspondence in a timely manner.
2)Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within the Practice.
3)Assessingthe health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosedproblems.
4)Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
5)Inconsultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease managementprotocols, developing care plans for health.
6)Providingcounselling and health education.
7)Admittingor discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other careproviders as appropriate.
8)Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
9)Collectingdata for audit purposes.
10) Compiling and issuingcomputer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-writtenprescriptions whenever possible).
11) Prescribing in accordance with thePractice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinicallyappropriate.
12) Ensuring that all work carried outwhich carries a private fee is properly recouped and accounted for; Medical Reports, Insurance reports, Private letters to third Parties etc.
13) In general, the post-holder will beexpected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associatedwith a GP working within primary care.

1)Awarenessof and compliance with all relevant Practice policies/guidelines, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
2)Acommitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based bestpractice.

4)Contributingto the development of computer-based patient records.
5)Contributingto the summarising of patient records and accurate Read-Coding of patient data.
6)Attendingtraining and events organised by the Practice or other agencies, whereappropriate.
