Sports Coach – SEMH School (Full Time) Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, long-term We are currently recruiting for a full-time Sports Coach to support within a specialist SEMH school in Bolton. This is a long-term opportunity working with pupils who require additional support with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in sports coaching who are confident using physical activity, routine and structure to positively engage young people who may have struggled in mainstream education. The Role You will work closely with pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, using sport and structured activity as a tool to build relationships and improve engagement. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering structured physical activity sessions to support engagement Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation Encouraging teamwork, participation and routine Supporting classroom learning where required Acting as a positive and consistent role model The Ideal Candidate Background in sports coaching, fitness or youth work Experience supporting behaviour or SEMH (preferred) Strong communication and relationship-building skills Resilient, proactive and adaptable approach Full-time availability What the School Offers Supportive and experienced staff team Structured environment with clear expectations Opportunity to transition into education Long-term role with potential progression All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
