This is a full-time, permanent role, teaching Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE & A-Level English / Literature. About the Role You will lead creative and challenging lessons in English and Literature across multiple year groups, supporting a department known for its academic ambition and breadth of curriculum. Teachers work in well-equipped classrooms and have direct access to a well-stocked central library with both classic and contemporary titles. Colleagues often run literary societies, creative writing workshops, and cross-curricular projects with Drama, History, and Media Studies — you’ll have the chance to be part of those. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: Holds QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification Has strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for English & Literature Can teach GCSE and/or A-Level (or is keen to grow into that) Is a creative, reflective practitioner with high expectations of student progress Has the legal right to work in the UK The School Situated in Edgbaston on a leafy, six-acre campus.
