The Role
:
As a Timber Frame Designer, you will report to Design Manager and oversee the design of timber frame structures while working closely with the client, client representatives and internal production team.
Responsibilities:
1. Create technical and construction drawings.
2. Produce manufacturing information.
3. Coordinate design info with project timelines.
4. Liaise with consultants and suppliers.
5. Support site teams for compliance.
6. Maintain customer relationships.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working in a similar role.
8. Ideally have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
9. Understanding of current Scottish Planning & Building Standards Regulations.
10. Skilled in AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
11. Able to read and understand architectural / engineering drawings.
12. Awareness of CDM Regs and NHBC Standards.
13. Background in timber design would be preferred.
