SEN Teacher – Primary Qualified SEN Specialist Teacher
Location: B30, Birmingham
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
Pay: £140 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Smile Education is proud to be supporting a specialist primary provision in the B30 area that is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher for an immediate start.
This role is suitable for qualified SEN specialists only, with proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, including Autism and associated learning and communication needs. The setting offers small class sizes and high levels of classroom support, allowing teachers to deliver tailored and inclusive education.
The Role The successful SEN Teacher will:
Lead a primary class of pupils with identified SEN
Deliver structured, inclusive and differentiated lessons
Plan and implement personalised learning programmes in line with EHCPs and IEPs
Use multi-sensory and adaptive teaching approaches
Create a safe, calm and nurturing learning environment
Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Assess, track and report on pupil progress
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external professionals
Contribute to review meetings and multi-agency planning
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all timesAbout the Setting

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
SEN teaching experience (minimum 3 months)
Experience supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs (minimum 6 months preferred)
Experience within primary (KS1 and/or KS2)
Calm, professional and caring approach
Ability to commit to full-time or part-time work
Two references covering the past two years (one must reference working with children)
