The role |
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

* Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes. Prioritize nurturing and developing talent, role modelling a coaching culture within management.
* Ensure an excellent guest experience, with every dish prepared to high standards, either through your efforts or by empowering your team.
* Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs; identify opportunities proactively as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
* Build a coaching culture within your team, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
* Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making.

* Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills with genuine, considerate conversations ensuring your team feels supported.
* Experience maintaining high standards of food, health, and safety.
* Understanding of financial aspects like gross profit and stock control.
* Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
* Leadership qualities that inspire and engage the team, fostering growth and a sense of belonging.
* Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and act decisively.
