HGV II / Class 2 Driver - looking for Full Time, Monday to Friday Pallet distribution work, driving a modern, low mileage truck, electric pallet trucks, tail lift as well as ability to pull curtains for forklift access where available, we need drivers that want regular and on-going work.
The client operates a business and residential pallet delivery service across the Eastern Region, from mid afternoon you will be routed to make collections of pallets to bring back to the depot.
Start times are from 0830 with varied finished times.
Duties
* Operate a curtain sided HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
* Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving hours.
* Load and unload pallets safely, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements, training is given on the operation of the EPA system.
* Communicate effectively with ditransport team regarding schedules, delays, or issues on the road.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
* Full UK HGV II Licence
* Maximum 6 penalty points (NO IN10, DD, DR or DG)
* Drivers Digi Card
* Drivers CPC Card
* Able to strap loads as required, before leaving site
* Conduct daily vehicle defect sheets
* Polite, professional and customer focused, treat people how you would want to be.
* Looking for regular and on-going work (good chance of Temp 2 Perm)
PAY RATES: PAYE ONLY
Monday to Friday £17.08 Per Hour
Saturdays £20.16. Per Hour (These are sometimes offered on a voluntary basis)
