They are seeking a Transport General Manager / Head of Transport to oversee their operations near to Kettering. As the key leader in the transport office, you will be responsible for fleet management, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining a sharp focus on commercial awareness to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimise the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and operating efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including route planning teams and efficiencies, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Get a handle on the commercials within the transport operation, helping the Business to continue investing and driving profit.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in transport management or a similar leadership role, with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.
Strong understanding of fleet management regulations and best practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and drive change within the team.
Commercial acumen as you will be the figurehead in ensuring the Fleet is profitable and being priced for work correctly.
