The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality technical support and systems expertise for the solutions we are providing to our external customers. You will work across a wide spectrum of systems / IT and physical security technologies — from day-to-day support, preventative maintenance, testing to large scale prebuild projects. In this role, you'll: Prebuild and Commissioning of security systems before they ship to customer sites. This will involve server and workstation setup, panel setup / wiring, enclosure building, cabling, device patching / flashing, system patching, system hardening, asset tagging, and documentation creation. FAT testing of systems and solutions Commissioning support for our professional services team – This will involve working with the customer to extract requirements and data from existing system, designing a migration methodology and then migrating information into new systems in the required formats. Provide technical support for field-based engineers on customer security systems – This will be telephone and remote access support. Support platform / system / security upgrades on security systems. Maintain / Create documentation for systems and processes What we're looking for: Installation experience on ACS / IDS and CCTV systems Commissioning experience on ACS / IDS and CCTV systems Good understanding of IP Networking Support / helpdesk experience Experience of Patching, System upgrades, Remote access support Strong communication and a self-driven approach Location: Manchester (Trafford Park) Key Objectives of the Role Ensure that all prebuilt / preconfigured solutions are configured and setup in line with Manufacturer and IT best practices Provide responsive, hands-on support for our field based engineers, systems and customers Commissioning support for our professional services team Maintain documentation for processes, systems, assets, and credentials Play a key role in transitioning legacy systems to new solutions Essential: Proven experience in security system installation / commissioning roles Hands on experience with hardware and able to build / wire up a system from the ground up. Networking knowledge (IP, firewalls, basic architecture) Clear communication skills and strong documentation ability Desirable: Experience providing remote support Experience with FAT testing Familiarity with SQL / Database awareness Experience integrating platforms and systems Active certifications in relevant Security / IT / Networking areas Personal Qualities Self-motivated and proactive Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Comfortable working in a dynamic, small-team environment Adaptable and open to change Committed to delivering high standards and continuous improvement Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to own transport
