Job Description:
Grassland Agro sources, produces, and sells a complete range of conventional commodity fertilizers as well as specialty fertilizers and soil conditioning products. They also sell animal mineral blocks, biostimulants, and dairy hygiene products. As part of Groupe Roullier, their R&D is conducted at the Global Innovation Center in St. Malo. The company values passionate employees who provide superior technical advice on farms. Currently, there is a vacancy for a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager in Northern Ireland. The role involves developing long-term customer relationships, connecting with industry stakeholders, and reporting to the Speciality Business Commercial Manager. Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and implementing strategic and operational sales plans.
2. Enhancing technical presentation of products to match regional needs.
3. Optimizing distribution and operational costs.
4. Managing relationships and accounts with trade customers, including product support and credit control.
5. Enforcing sales policies and procedures.
6. Supporting and managing the technical sales team, including recruitment, target setting, and performance management.
7. Motivating the team to maximize sales and customer service.
8. Promoting company policies on HR, health and safety, pricing, and terms.
9. Contributing to overall company development through active participation in management teams.
Requirements include a third-level qualification in Agriculture or Business, proven sales management experience, technical knowledge of the agri-sector, strong commercial skills, leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, problem-solving attitude, organizational skills, and a full clean driver's license. The company offers a competitive salary (£45,000-£55,000), performance bonus, company car with fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop.
