Job Description Summary
The Vaccine Coordinator is responsible for all vaccine management activities, including training staff and communicating new updates and changes from the state related to the VFC Program and general vaccine needs. Pay Range: $27.63-$39.44 per hour based on experience, with generous shift differentials. Job Responsibilities
1. Receiving vaccines: Be present during delivery and process into inventory immediately. Ensure temperature ranges are maintained.
2. Storage and handling: Rotate vaccine stock, prevent expired vaccines, keep VFC and private vaccines separate, and perform routine cleaning.
3. Monitoring temperatures: Use calibrated devices, record temperatures twice daily, and respond to excursions. Review data biweekly and retain records for 3 years.
4. Ordering vaccines: Conduct physical inventory, manage orders via MyVFCVaccines.org, and account for returns/transfers.
5. Other duties: Assist with prior authorizations and routine medications as needed.
Job Requirements
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate from an accredited nursing program.
* Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
* Licenses/Certifications: Valid LPN license, current BLS CPR certification.
* Knowledge & Skills: Nursing practice, organizational policies, medical equipment, safety protocols, problem-solving, communication, computer proficiency, and ability to react calmly in emergencies.
