Are you a skilled and confident HLTA looking for a stable role with a clear path to a permanent contract? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a versatile and proactive educator to join a high-achieving primary school in Leigh starting this September.
This is a key appointment for the school, designed for an individual who can seamlessly transition between supporting classroom teachers and leading whole-class learning.
The Role
This position is unique in its variety, covering the critical early years of education from Reception through to Year 2. You will be the "bridge" that ensures high-quality learning continues during teacher PPA time or unexpected absences.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading Learning: Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS and Key Stage 1, maintaining high expectations for all pupils.
Curriculum Expertise: Demonstrating a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and the National Curriculum for KS1.
Intervention Mastery: Leading targeted sessions in Phonics (ideally RWI), early Literacy, and Numeracy to close attainment gaps.
Collaboration: Working closely with the SLT and Class Teachers to assess pupil progress and adapt learning materials.
Role Model: Upholding the school's behaviour policy and fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Requirements
Qualification: HLTA Status (Level 4) or a Foundation Degree/Teaching Degree.
Experience: Proven experience leading whole classes and working across EYFS/KS1.
Skills: Excellent classroom management and a deep understanding of Phonics and early childhood development.
Commitment: A desire to secure a permanent position and contribute to the wider school community.
Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and a comprehensive CV with references.
Legal right to work in the UK.
