Base pay range
Mental Health Support Worker - £12.72 per hour
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. A mix of days and night shifts (07:45-20:15 and 20:00-08:00)
Role details
Full time support worker post in intensive mental health service. The Laurels is an all-male, intensive mental health, supported living service. We support 8 individuals to live in the community, assessing various groups and activities. Our focus is to encourage people to become as independent as possible. We use a person centered approach and work with each individual to reach their full potential. Shaw healthcare is a Real Living Wage Employer and the UK’s largest employee owned healthcare company. Salary is above the Government National Minimum Wage. The service values the contribution of its staff and aims to support work/life balance where possible.
Responsibilities
* Provide physical and emotional support to service users on a daily basis.
* Work with service users to promote independence and person-centered goals.
* Use appropriate care technology to enable time spent with service users.
* Deliver high standards of care aligned with service user needs.
