The Role
Are you reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to work in a practical, outdoor environment with livestock? Sofina Foods is looking for motivated individuals to join our Outdoor Pig Farming Operations in the Inverness area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and is open to learning. Previous experience in agriculture is essential for this role. You'll be expected to bring practical knowledge and hands-on experience to support daily farm operations effectively.
Due to the rural locations of our farms, having your own transport is essential.
Rate: £12.61
Senior Rate: £13.50
Hours of work -
Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm (approx).
Friday 7am to 3pm. (Weekend work is required on a rota basis).
Every third Thursday 4am to 1pm (Start time with Seasonal Variability).
The Ideal Candidate
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
* A self-starter with good reliability and timekeeping
* Open to learning new skills and working as part of a supportive team
* Able to travel to remote sites independently
* Agricultural experience is helpful but not required - we'll help you build the knowledge and skills you need.

* Working with pigs on an outdoor unit, including feeding, moving, serving, and handling the pigs.
* Working as part of a team to maintain and uphold the highest standards of animal welfare.
* Following Health and Safety procedures and to support management in fostering a positive safety culture.
* Maintaining the overall appearance and condition of the farm.
* Safely and effectively operating farm machinery.
