GSL Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and proactive PE Graduates to work as Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants in secondary schools across Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to build valuable experience, support young learners, and inspire a positive approach to physical activity and education.
Your Role as a PE Graduate:
* Lead pre-set lessons as a Cover Supervisor in the absence of the class teacher.
* Assist PE departments in delivering engaging sports lessons and organising extra-curricular activities.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support, both academically and behaviourally.
* Promote teamwork, engagement, and positive behaviour in the classroom and during sports.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.
We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject.
* A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their wellbeing.
* Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.
* A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
* Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable, not essential).
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
