Circa £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience
Full-time, permanent position
Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00, early finish on Fridays
What You'll Be Doing:
* Designing new mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
* Creating engineering drawings in line with BS8888 and ISO standards
* Supporting prototype builds, testing, and validation of mechanical performance
* Performing tolerance analysis and applying Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles
* Supporting production through documentation, updates, and engineering changes
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and quality
* Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline)
* Some experience in mechanical product design, ideally supporting medium-to-high volume manufacturing
* Proficiency in 3D CAD - SolidWorks preferred
* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques
* Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
