We are currently partnering with a growing business developing next-generation data storage technology designed to transform modern data infrastructure. Following recent growth, the company is scaling its engineering teams as it transitions from prototype to product.
The company builds highly durable, energy-efficient storage hardware using pioneering technology and is seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to support the development of precision motor control, sensors and actuators, and real-time control systems at the heart of the platform. This role offers an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment across mechanics, electronics, embedded software, sensing, and real-time control.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop precision motor control systems for complex electromechanical hardware.
* Support actuator, encoder, and sensor integration.
* Tune and validate PID, FOC, and closed-loop control systems.
* Work across embedded software, motor drivers, and real-time hardware interfaces.
* Develop test rigs and conduct system testing and validation.
* Debug issues across mechanical, electrical, sensing, and embedded systems.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Experience Required
* Degree qualified in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics, or similar.
* 3–5 years’ experience developing motor control or precision motion systems.
* Hands‑on experience building and testing electromechanical systems.
* Experience with embedded C/C++ and real-time control systems.
* Strong debugging skills across hardware and embedded software.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Bonus Skills
